Tuesday's Racing

We've racing on both sides of the Irish sea today with three meetings in the UK and a second in three days and first of the flat season for Limerick in Ireland.  Disappointing to see that the two horses I was most interested in backing tomorrow have already been supported in the markest at Pontefract:

16:10 Pontefract
It's good to see flat racing back at Ponte for the 2011 season and Arlequin is of interest to me in this race, with two big speed figures under similar conditions in 2010 (10f on good to firm ground) and coming off a couple of disappointing efforts on the all-weather at Cagnes-Sur-Mer earlier this year which should give him an edge over a couple of those making their season reappearances and ran well enough on his seasonal debut in 2010 off a very similar prep (2 runs on the AW at France) when a 40/1 6th of 14 in a good handicap at the Craven meeting.  There's a possibility that he'll be seen to better effect off a lower mark but he looks worth taking a small chance with given his good runs in 2010 were off higher marks (89 and 92) and he has a decent chance of making a winning return to action in the UK

Advice: Arlequin 0.5pts each-way @ 15/2 (William Hill)

Stake: 1pt
Return: 0pt

ps. This will get better, harder than I thought putting what I'm thinking onto the screen
